Nancy

Nancy is thrilled that her photo of a Violet-bellied Hummingbird, shot in the rain in southern Ecuador in February 2005, was the grand prize winner of a National Geographic/Canon photo competition. Her winning picture appeared in the January 2006 issue of National Geographic Magazine. Her winning photo can be seen in the Ecuador section of these pages. Since then she has donated selected photos for publication by the American Birding Association, the Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory, and the birding tour company, Tropical Birding. She also has photos for sale at galleries in Colorado and Oregon, and she and her husband have given presentations of her photos at the Denver Museum and elsewhere in Colorado.
